Kuala lumpur: The Mega 3D Carnival (MK3D), scheduled to take place from tomorrow until Sunday at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), is projected to draw approximately two million visitors. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi highlighted the event’s potential to boost rural entrepreneurship, thanks to the involvement of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), and the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid stated that the carnival aims to generate transaction values up to RM209 million, encompassing cash sales, entrepreneur financing, and potential business matching. He shared these insights with reporters after reviewing the final arrangements for the event.
Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, noted that MK3D integrates three major initiatives: the Rural Entrepreneurs Carnival (KUD), Fe
lda Settlers’ Day, and the One District One Industry (SDSI) Showcase. This comprehensive platform is designed to offer rural entrepreneurs a wide array of support services, including financing, training, business matching, certification, and access to export markets.
He emphasized that this integrated strategy not only optimizes resources and prevents program overlap but also reduces government spending while providing a thorough experience for both visitors and investors. The involvement of over 1,000 entrepreneurs from across the nation is expected to bolster the rural entrepreneurship ecosystem and align with the goals of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP), particularly in empowering the Bumiputera and rural economy.
Ahmad Zahid also expressed ambitions to explore international opportunities, in addition to tapping into the domestic market.
