UNITEN Graduate Attributes Success to Quran Memorisation and Time Management.


PUTRAJAYA: Memorising the Quran before working on assignments has been the key to success for Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) graduate Muhammad Hasif Zikry Mohd Ridzwan, who was honoured with the prestigious Chancellor’s Gold Award today. The award was presented by Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, who is also the university’s chancellor, during UNITEN’s 26th convocation ceremony, held over two days, starting today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, 22-year-old Muhammad Hasif Zikry described his daily routine of memorising the Quran for about an hour or two pages before tackling any tasks given by his lecturers. “Typically, after memorising the Quran, I would work on the assignments. I’ve noticed that after doing so, everything seems to fall into place more easily,” said the graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Software Engineering) (Honours) programme.

Muhammad Hasif, who is also a huffaz student at UNITEN, added that another important aspect of university lif
e which students should focus on is time management. “The first thing is time management. As students, it’s crucial to effectively manage our time if we want to achieve success,” said Muhammad Hasif Zikry, who hails from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Izzawani Zaidi, a proud Orang Asli graduate in the Diploma of Accountancy programme, shared his excitement at completing his higher education journey and becoming an inspiration to his family and village community. “I plan to further my studies, and aim to open my own audit firm in the future,” said Muhammad Izzawani, from Kuantan, Pahang.

At UNITEN’s 26th convocation ceremony, a total of 1,412 graduates will receive their academic scrolls, with 30 Orang Asli graduates completing their studies at the diploma level. This milestone highlights UNITEN’s ongoing commitment to providing higher education opportunities to students from all walks of life, ensuring inclusivity and access to education for the community.
