The strong bond between Thailand and Vietnam was reaffirmed during a meeting between President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand Wan Muhamad Noor Matha and Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Viet Hung in Bangkok on July 15. Wan Noor highly valued the friendship and strategic partnership with Vietnam, which is flourishing as the two countries approach the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2026. He highlighted the close collaboration between their respective legislatures, citing the existing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the Vietnamese NA and the Thai House of Representatives, as well as the Office of the Vietnamese NA and the Secretariat of the Thai House of Representatives.
