Works on temporary transmitter station in Kampung Geling Badak completed

BACHOK, Aug 1 — Installation and repair works of a temporary transmitter station in Kampung Gelong Badak here to provide telecommunication coverage to residents there was completed on July 30.


The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), in a statement today, said the works were carried out following the collapse of a telecommunication tower in the village due to bad weather on July 22.


“Local users who experienced disruptions as a result of the incident can now enjoy the communication network and internet coverage as usual,” the statement read.



MCMC also expressed its appreciation to REDtone for working hard to complete the construction of the temporary transmitter station to ensure that coverage of mobile services can be restored immediately.


It also said that the collapsed tower was owned by REDtone and shared with other service providers, namely Celcom, Digi and Maxis.
