126 Water Supply Projects in Pahang Completed, Says Wan Rosdy

Kuantan: The upgrading of Pahang's water supply system continues to show progress, with 126 out of 217 projects under Phase 1 of the Pahang Water Supply Development Project Plan (2021-2026) completed to date. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail announced this achievement during the State Legislative Assembly sitting, emphasizing the state's commitment to enhancing water supply services through carefully planned initiatives.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, 26 more projects are currently under construction, while 65 are at the pre-construction stage. Wan Rosdy highlighted that more than half of the total projects have been completed, demonstrating significant progress in the state's efforts to upgrade water infrastructure.

Responding to a question from Ho Chi Yang (PH-Tanah Rata), Wan Rosdy detailed the current status of the projects and reiterated the state government's dedication to improving water supply across all districts. He also addressed concerns about potential water supply disruptions during the northeast monsoon season, stating that the Disaster Operations Control Centre, in collaboration with Pengurusan Air Pahang Berhad (PAIP), is prepared to tackle any issues. PAIP plans to deploy pontoon pumps at water treatment plants to ensure a continuous clean water supply if necessary.
