13MP: Integrated Future Force To Bolster National Security

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian government plans to establish an integrated, agile, and focused Future Force to ensure the nation's stability and prosperity while strengthening its security and defence. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the capabilities of security and defence assets, along with the capacity of personnel, will be enhanced with advanced technology, including artificial intelligence (AI).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted that land and maritime border controls will be strengthened to curb cross-border threats. The Prime Minister stated, "Additionally, readiness to confront sovereignty and security threats in the South China Sea will be intensified more comprehensively," during the tabling of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) themed 'Redesigning Development', in the Dewan Rakyat today.

The Prime Minister also indicated that immigration processes will be streamlined through a more modern National Integrated Immigration System. Anwar emphasised that the strengthening of security and defence will continue to be a priority to ensure the stability and prosperity of the country.
