Kuala lumpur: The 1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang (1R1JG) campaign is being intensified through the Ekspresi Jalur Gemilang JAPEN@PETRONAS programme, which is being conducted simultaneously at 15 selected PETRONAS stations nationwide today. The initiative, organized by the Department of Information (JAPEN) in collaboration with PETRONAS, aims to promote patriotism and foster a love for the country among the public as part of the National Month celebrations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the first 200 motorists at each participating station received free Jalur Gemilang magnetic stickers to encourage the public to display the national flag throughout National Month. Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil also participated by placing the magnetic stickers on vehicles at the PETRONAS station along the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) in Pantai Dalam, symbolizing his support for the campaign.
He highlighted that the magnetic stickers were introduced this year following public feedback, offering a convenient option that allows them to be easily attached and removed from vehicles without leaving any residue. Fahmi also requested that the official song for this year's National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, "Aku Berjanji" by Faizal Tahir, be played more frequently by the Information Department, RTM, and all radio and television stations.
Fahmi further elaborated that this year's 1R1JG initiative comprises 11 programmes across nine clusters, including education, health, security, community, industry, houses of worship, and sports. Activities are being held at nearly 2,000 locations nationwide, demonstrating the extensive reach and impact of the campaign.
