2,000 Quran Copies Replaced In Negeri Sembilan Since 2023

Kuala lumpur: The Home Ministry has estimated that about 2,000 copies of the Quran in Negeri Sembilan have been replaced since 2023, either due to the absence of certification from the ministry or because they were damaged. Head of the Control Section of the Enforcement and Control Division, Negeri Sembilan KDN, Ariff Hussein Malham, stated that the replacement process also involved copies contributed by residents, mosques, surau, and schools.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ariff Hussein emphasized the importance of Malaysians using Quran copies that are certified and thoroughly reviewed by KDN's Lajnah Tasheh al-Quran to ensure their accuracy. This initiative aims to ensure that the public can read and own certified Quran copies, guaranteeing the accuracy of their recitation.

Ariff Hussein further stated that there are more than 1,000 types of Quran copies approved by the ministry. He encouraged the public to exchange uncertified or damaged Quran copies for certified ones at KDN's booth at the event. The 'Jom Exchange Al-Quran' initiative is designed to collect and dispose of damaged or uncertified Quran copies in the most honourable way, adhering to established guidelines.

The Negeri Sembilan MADANI Rakyat programme (PMR), themed 'Digital Merentasi Generasi, Memperkasa Komuniti', commenced today and will last for three days. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to officiate the event tomorrow.
