According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian quadrant consists of Muhammad Afifuddin Mohd Razali, Amirul Zazwan Amir, Norfaizzul Abd Razak, and Muhammad Shahalril Aiman Halim. The team delivered a performance with scores of 15-6, 16-17, and 15-8. Coach Mohammad Zulkarnain Abdul Rahman expressed his anticipation of a challenging match against the Philippines and is now focused on the upcoming match against Japan.

Coach Mohammad Zulkarnain noted that the team did not lose focus, although the Philippines managed to turn the match into an intense contest. He emphasized the importance of preparing for a strong performance against Japan to secure the top position in Group B. Meanwhile, Japan defeated China with scores of 15-9, 15-11, placing them at the top of Group B for the time being.
