Kuala Lumpur: Thirty-three foreign workers suffered injuries when a factory bus they were aboard skidded and overturned this morning on Jalan P/6, Section 13, Bandar Baru Bangi.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar reported that the department received an emergency call at 6.59 am, prompting the dispatch of 13 personnel and three emergency vehicles to the location.
"Eight of the injured workers were transported to Kajang Hospital and Serdang Hospital for further treatment, while the remaining victims received medical attention at the scene from Ministry of Health ambulance personnel," Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar stated in a release today.
He further noted that 11 other foreign workers on the bus emerged unscathed from the incident. The operation was overseen by Senior Fire Officer II Rahamat Sabarudin, with teams from the Bangi and Kajang Fire and Rescue Stations (BBP) actively participating in the emergency response.
