5K patients in Tacloban benefit from ‘Lab for All’ services

MANILA: The Department of Health (DOH) delivered free consultations and free medications to 5,000 patients in Tacloban City, Leyte in support of the ‘Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot para sa Lahat’ (Lab for All) caravan.

The three-day caravan from July 2 to 4 provided a total of 11,788 healthcare services at the People’s Center, Eastern Visayas State University Gym, Marasbaras National High School Gym, Remedios Trinidad Romualdez Gym and Tacloban City National High School Gym.

“We are grateful to the First Lady (Liza Araneta-Marcos) as this is aligned with the DOH’s mission to guarantee all Filipinos access to quality health care services,’ Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said in a statement Monday.

The Lab for All, launched in June 2023, makes primary healthcare services accessible to Filipinos.

The medical services include consultations related to internal medicine, surgery, ear, nose, throat, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and family medicine.

her diagnostic services (ultrasound, blood chemistry, complete blood count, urinalysis, computed tomography scan, and X-ray), dental services, vaccination, medicine provision, and vision screening with prescription lenses provision.

Lab for All will continue in various parts of the country for the next four years.
