98 Honored with Awards and Medals for Selangor Sultan’s 80th Birthday

Shah alam: A total of 98 individuals are set to receive state awards, honours, and medals in conjunction with the 80th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. This significant event is scheduled for tomorrow, as announced by Selangor State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, among the recipients, one individual will be awarded the prestigious Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati (D.K.II). Additionally, two individuals will be conferred the First Class Order of the Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (S.P.M.S.), which bestows the title 'Dato' Seri' for men and 'Datin Paduka Seri' for women. Furthermore, three individuals will receive the First Class Order of the Dato' Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.S.I.S.), granting the title 'Dato' Setia' for men and 'Datin Paduka Setia' for women. Sixteen others will be honoured with the Second Class Order of Dato' Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.), carrying the title 'Dato'' for men and 'Datin Paduka' for women.

A total of 17 individuals will receive the Second Class Order of the Dato'-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S.), which also carries the title 'Dato'' for men and 'Datin Paduka' for women, as stated by Ahmad Fadzli. Additionally, the Ahli Kegemilangan Sukan Selangor (A.K.S.) award will be bestowed upon one recipient.

In the same celebration, Sultan Sharafuddin will present the Setia Mahkota Selangor (S.M.S.) and Setia Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.I.S.) awards to 10 individuals each. Furthermore, the Ahli Mahkota Selangor (A.M.S.) and the Ahli-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (A.I.S.) awards will be conferred on 15 recipients each.

A Bintang Kecemerlangan Sukan Selangor award will be given to one individual, while seven others will receive the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (B.P.C.) medal. Ahmad Fadzli noted that the state government received 2,449 nominations this year, with 955 for state awards and honours, and 1,494 for state medals.

He emphasized that all 98 awardees successfully passed three essential screenings conducted by the Royal Malaysia Police for security and crime, the Malaysian Department of Insolvency, and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
