Kota bharu: Former Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun has been appointed as the president of Kelantan Red Warrior (KRW) FC effective today. KRW FC announced that Muhamad Zaki's leadership, discipline, and integrity are expected to significantly influence the club's professional and competitive culture.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, KRW FC extended their congratulations to Muhamad Zaki on their Facebook page, highlighting his efficiency in organizational management and community relations during his tenure as the Kelantan police chief. The club hopes that under Muhamad Zaki's leadership, there will be a concerted effort to unite players, management, and supporters towards achieving greater success.
Earlier reports indicated that Gerakan Selamat Kelantan (GSK) chairman Nik Hafiz Naim Nik Hassan stepped down from all ownership and his position as president of KRW FC on August 2. Nik Hafiz Naim disclosed that his decision was influenced by issues related to sanctions imposed by the International Football Federation (FIFA), as addressed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) recently.
