Kota bharu: There are seven lots with 'Untraceable' (TDK) status during the land acquisition carried out for the Sungai Golok Integrated River Basin (PLSB) Project Phase 1 to Phase 3, the Kelantan State Assembly was told today. Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan stated that these lots could not be traced in the Computerised Land Title Registration System when the gazetting was done.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the TDK lots comprise two each within the Sungai Golok Floodbounds and Sungai Mentua in Tumpat, with the remaining three lots located at the Sungai Lancang floodbound in Pasir Mas. Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan highlighted that the Flood Mitigation Project in Kelantan is a federal government initiative. The land acquisition for this project involves consultant and survey firms appointed by the federal government, as well as the Department of Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG).
The state government's role in this process includes receiving complete documentation from consultants and surveyors, presenting it to the Land Acquisition Committee for approval, and subsequently proceeding with the gazetting under Sections 4 and 8 of the Land Acquisition Act 1960. This statement was made in response to a supplementary question from Rozi Muhamad (PAS-Tendong) regarding land acquisition for the flood mitigation project PLSB Sungai Golok Phase 1 to Phase 3.
