Kuala lumpur: AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd has issued its 10th senior sukuk with a nominal amount of RM600 million and a seven-year tenure. The move marks a significant step in the company's ongoing efforts to enhance its financial offerings under shariah principles.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company announced in a Bursa Malaysia filing today that the proceeds from this senior sukuk are earmarked for financing disbursements that adhere to shariah-compliant frameworks. This strategic financial maneuver is part of AEON Credit's broader vision to sustain and expand its operations through ethical and religiously aligned financial instruments.
The filing elaborated that the funds raised will not only be used for new financing initiatives but also to refinance any existing loans or financing of the company. Additionally, it will cover any sukuk previously issued, ensuring that all financial undertakings under the sukuk wakalah programme remain strictly shariah-compliant.
