Senawang: Police have received new directives from the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) to complete the probe into a Year Four pupil's death in Senawang here before resubmitting the investigation paper.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad stated that the AGC had returned the investigation paper, requiring them to take certain actions before resubmitting the paper. He urged all parties to refrain from making any statements that could affect the investigation process, as the investigation is still ongoing.
Alzafny assured that police would provide updates on the investigation once instructions are received from the AGC. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into all aspects related to the incident to ensure justice is served. The MOE acknowledged the statement issued by the pupil's family regarding the incident.
Earlier reports indicated that the 10-year-old boy was found unconscious in the toilet of his school on October 1 before being pronounced dead. A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death to be pressure to the neck, with no other injuries found on the victim's body.
