Kuala lumpur: The implementation of all programmes and strategies by the 14 agencies under the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) is under close scrutiny, with improvements set to be enacted swiftly should any shortcomings be identified, according to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr. Zulkifli Hasan.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that these agencies, which include the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), Tabung Haji, the Syariah Judiciary Department Malaysia, and Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia, have established comprehensive strategies encompassing short, medium, and long-term planning. The current focus is on assessing the effectiveness of these strategies and the tangible outcomes of their implementation.
"Alhamdulillah, we have already implemented several initiatives and strategies across the country, executed by staff from the 14 agencies who have demonstrated exceptional cooperation and support," Dr. Zulkifli stated. He highlighted the ongoing evaluation of the impact and effectiveness of these initiatives, noting that the campaigns and efforts have already begun to yield results.
Dr. Zulkifli also pointed out that these achievements have propelled the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) to the forefront in several administrative areas. He cautioned against complacency, urging continued efforts to strengthen service delivery.
Looking to the future, Dr. Zulkifli remarked that the focus is not only on providing exemplary services to the public but also on shaping societal perceptions to foster a genuine understanding of Islam. He encouraged department staff to become storytellers, contributing to the narrative of the civilization and Malaysia's vision, particularly regarding the true understanding of Islam in the country.
