Kuala terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) has signed national Under-23 midfielder Ahmad Haziq Kutty Abba as its newest player for the 2026/2027 Super League season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) announced that the former Penang FC player, aged 22, has signed a one-season contract, which will run from July 1 to May 31, 2027. The club expressed its hope that Ahmad Haziq's addition would help fortify the team in the upcoming season.

TFCSB highlighted Ahmad Haziq's international experience, noting his participation with the national Under-23 squad. They stated that his presence would expand their options and foster healthy competition in the midfield as they prepare for the new season starting in August.

Ahmad Haziq shared his determination to work diligently and fully commit himself to enhancing the team's reputation and achieving its goals. He also conveyed his enthusiasm for being coached by head coach Mohd Nafuzi Zain, who previously led the national Under-23 squad.

In the upcoming season, Ahmad Haziq will join TFC's other new signings, Danial Amier Norhisham and Manuel Ott, as they aim to strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead.
