Ahmad Zahid and Fadillah Urge Muslims to Embrace Aidiladha’s Lessons

Kuala Lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has emphasized the significance of Hari Raya Aidiladha as a powerful symbol of obedience, sacrifice, and sincerity to the commands of Allah SWT.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid highlighted in a Facebook post the importance of the celebration, drawing attention to the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son, Prophet Ismail (AS), as paragons of unwavering obedience and sacrifice to Allah SWT. He expressed hope that the spirit of sacrifice would inspire Malaysians in their personal, social, and national endeavors. Ahmad Zahid, also serving as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, extended prayers for peace and blessings to all Malaysians, particularly those grappling with life's challenges. Additionally, he offered prayers for pilgrims in the Holy Land, wishing for their successful and accepted completion of the hajj.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof echoed these sentiments, stating that the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) serves as a life guideline, illustrating that sincere struggles are rewarded by Allah SWT. Fadillah emphasized the occasion as a time to foster solidarity and compassion, especially towards those in need, such as the poor, while embodying the spirit of unity and mercy central to Islam. In his Facebook post, he expressed a wish for all Islamic practices, including hajj and sacrifices, to be accepted and blessed by Allah SWT. He extended his greetings for Hari Raya Aidiladha to all Muslims, underscoring the value of sincere intentions in all acts of sacrifice.
