Ahmad Zahid Congratulates SMKA Maahad Hamidiah On ASEAN My Cyber Hero Win

Putrajaya: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has congratulated the Fariq Al Nazaha team from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) Maahad Hamidiah, Selangor, for clinching the top spot in the STAR Cyber Hero Category of the ASEAN My Cyber Hero 2025 competition yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that the competition, held in conjunction with the Cyber Defence and Security Exhibition and Conference (CYDES) 2025, not only showcased the talents of young people in high-technology fields but also reflected the successful integration of Huffaz values, leadership qualities, and digital excellence.

At the same time, Ahmad Zahid, who also holds the position of Minister of Rural and Regional Development, highlighted that the success should inspire greater youth participation in cybersecurity, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) fields, and future technology.

Before the team from this religious school was declared the winner at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Ahmad Zahid had the opportunity to witness the impressive performance of 22 top teams, selected from 4,419 teams and 13,218 participants nationwide.

Ahmad Zahid emphasized that this is the face of the Malaysian generation envisioned, grounded in knowledge and high moral values, prepared to lead in the digital era with a strong sense of identity. He expressed commitment to continue supporting and empowering the next generation of the country.

Ahmad Zahid expressed hope that the initiative by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), the National Security Council, and Micro Concept Tech Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd, and industry partners, would continue to nurture the potential of young Malaysians on the international stage, particularly in the increasingly challenging field of cybersecurity.
