Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated the national mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei on their achievement as runners-up in the 2025 China Masters tournament. Despite their 8-21, 17-21 loss to the Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Supissara Paewsampran in the final, Ahmad Zahid commended their indomitable spirit and remarked that they continue to serve as inspirations to all Malaysians.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid emphasized the duo's previous accomplishments, acknowledging their recent triumph as the 2025 World Champions in France. He expressed his admiration on Facebook, noting, "You have proven your abilities on the world stage by emerging as 2025 World Champions in France recently." He further praised them by stating, "Both of you aren't only world champions, but champions in the hearts of all Malaysians."
