Kuala Lumpur:Five areas, including four in Johor and one in Sarawak, reported Air Pollutant Index (API) readings at an unhealthy level as of 4 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Johor locations with unhealthy API readings were Pasir Gudang with 161, Kota Tinggi at 159, Pengerang registering 158, and Larkin with a level of 152.

In Sarawak, only Serian had an unhealthy API reading, which was recorded at 141.

A total of 51 areas, including Kuala Lumpur, reported moderate API levels, while 12 areas recorded good air quality. API readings are categorized as follows: 0-50 for good, 51-100 for moderate, 101-200 for unhealthy, 201-300 for very unhealthy, and 301 and above for hazardous conditions.
