Airwallex Reports 107% Revenue Surge in Singapore for 2025

Singapore: Airwallex, a global financial and payments platform, has announced a robust financial performance for the fiscal year 2025 in Singapore, achieving a 107% increase in revenue year-on-year. This marks the second consecutive year of triple-digit revenue growth for the company, with transaction volumes rising by 93% over the same period.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Airwallex's General Manager for Asia-Pacific (APAC), Arnold Chan, highlighted 2024 as the foundation year, with 2025 solidifying their leadership in Singapore. Chan stated that 2026 will focus on cementing their leadership across the region by remaining adaptable to customer needs and enhancing strategic partnerships. This approach aims to drive growth for both Airwallex and its clients to achieve their global ambitions.

In a statement, Airwallex revealed its strengthened local presence in 2025 by welcoming clients such as Minor Hotels, HipVan, and Lovet, while continuing to support existing brands like GlobalTix, Endowus, and Love, Bonito in managing their international financial operations. The company also reported a 62% increase in its Singapore workforce across corporate, commercial, product, engineering, and design functions, with plans to expand by over 70% by the end of 2026.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with regional and global growth aspirations have played a significant role in Airwallex's growth in Singapore. A survey of 250 local SME decision-makers, conducted by Censuswide, highlighted rising expenses as a critical challenge, with 73% citing it as a top concern in 2026, up from 62% in 2025. This indicates increasing pressure on margins and operating models.

Additionally, SMEs are shifting from broad-market expansion to more focused regional growth strategies. Among those planning overseas expansion, over 97% aim to do so within the next 18 months, reflecting a strategic and deliberate approach to regional expansion. Furthermore, 67% of SMEs remain optimistic about the global business environment, with 70% agreeing that the Singaporean government provides sufficient support for SMEs expanding overseas.
