AKPS Denies Entry To 104 Foreigners Without Valid Documents At KLIA Terminals 1, 2

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) denied entry to 104 foreign nationals from various countries yesterday, as they were found not to have met the entry requirements stipulated under the Immigration Act 1959/63.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, AKPS stated that the foreign nationals were identified after the agency inspected and screened the entry of 54,947 international visitors recorded at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. This influx involved 362 international flight arrivals and 361 international flight departures. The inspection revealed that most visitors from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan failed to provide a clear purpose for their entry.

AKPS further noted that the inspection found the foreign nationals who were denied entry lacked valid accommodation or return tickets and provided questionable reasons for their entry applications. The agency emphasized its commitment to taking strict action to maintain the security and integrity of the country's entry points and to ensure that only visitors who meet the entry requirements are permitted into Malaysia.

Additionally, AKPS reported it is currently facilitating the repatriation of 288 visitors, who remain at KLIA and have not been granted entry, back to their respective home countries.
