Rantau panjang: The Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) recorded more than 1.78 million individual movements in and out through the border gates at the Rantau Panjang Immigration, Customs, Quarantine, and Security (ICQS) Complex throughout last year. Rantau Panjang AKPS Deputy Commander Bakri Sulaiman reported that out of that total, 853,553 people were recorded entering the country, while 931,659 people exited through the border gate.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bakri emphasized the importance of the Rantau Panjang AKPS as a primary gateway, particularly for Malaysia-Thailand cross-border travel. The border's significance is underscored by the high volume of individual movements recorded throughout the year.
