Kuala lumpur: The Schools Inspectorate, District Education Office, and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Education Department have been directed to promptly complete an internal investigation into the alleged bullying and discrimination at a school here recently. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek emphasized the importance of handling public concerns seriously, especially those involving bullying and racial issues, ensuring they are addressed based on facts and due processes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadhlina expressed her condolences to the family and the school community following the recent passing of a school student in Kuala Lumpur. The Ministry of Education (MOE) is collaborating fully with the police and working closely with the Social Welfare Department and the Ministry of Health to ensure a thorough investigation.

Fadhlina also stated that support is being provided to the affected families, students, teachers, and the entire school community. The MOE counselling team has offered psychosocial support to the deceased student's family, and teachers have been briefed on the ongoing investigation and legal processes. Their welfare and well-being are being prioritized.

The MOE Smart Support Team has been mobilized to offer psychosocial support and crisis intervention to affected students, ensuring their welfare and emotional well-being. Fadhlina reiterated the priority to ensure justice for all parties and to implement measures to maintain a safe educational environment, free from bullying and discrimination.
