Amirudin, Chief Secretary Vow To Boost Selangor-Federal Ties

Putrajaya: The cooperation between the Selangor and federal governments will continue to be strengthened in line with the public service reform agenda championed by the Chief Secretary to the Government, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. Amirudin stated that these were among the topics discussed during his courtesy visit to Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar in Putrajaya today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin expressed his gratitude to Chief Secretary Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar for the warm reception and the opportunity to exchange perspectives on enhancing the cooperation level between Selangor and the federal government. He hopes that the strong synergy and mutual understanding between the Selangor state government and the federal government will be further solidified through the public service reform agenda led by Tan Sri Chief Secretary.

The discussions, which covered various topics, were positive and well-received by both parties. Shamsul Azri shared his memories of serving in Selangor over a decade ago, reflecting on the growth and development in the region.

Earlier, Shamsul Azri also mentioned his meeting with Amirudin, where they discussed various matters regarding federal-state cooperation as outlined in the Kuala Lumpur Declaration 2024. The talks also included deliberations on Selangor's role in Malaysia's chairmanship of ASEAN 2025, positioning it as a catalyst for regional cooperation.

Shamsul Azri appreciated Amirudin's insights and commitment, expressing confidence that the meeting would further enhance the synergy and close ties between the federal and Selangor governments. He expressed pride in receiving the Menteri Besar's courtesy visit, highlighting his 18-year service as a civil servant in Selangor.
