AMK Files Police Reports Over Death Threats Against Malaysian Prime Minister

Kuala lumpur: Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) filed two police reports today concerning a viral video that shows a man making death threats against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during an eviction process in Kampung Sungai Baru.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, AMK Information Chief Mohammad Rais Hamdan announced that the reports were lodged by AMK branches in both Kuala Lumpur and Selangor at the Dang Wangi Police headquarters around 8 pm. The reports were filed in response to a TikTok video, which depicts a man issuing threats against the Prime Minister and claiming previous detention under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Speaking to reporters after filing the reports, Mohammad Rais emphasized that young people vehemently oppose such threats, which he believes could jeopardize the nation's long-standing harmony. The incident underscores the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the country.

Dang Wangi Police Deputy Chief Supt Nuzulan Mohd Din confirmed the receipt of the reports. He stated that the case would be handed over to the Bukit Aman Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (USJT) for further investigation.
