Seremban: Another victim involved in the 17-vehicle crash on the North-South Expressway near here yesterday has died, bringing the total number of fatalities to four. Seremban district police chief ACP Mohammad Hatta Che Din said the 19-year-old male victim died at 12.30 am today at Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital (HTJS) here.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim passed away while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of HTJS. The cause of death was severe traumatic brain injury, as confirmed by ACP Mohammad Hatta Che Din.
The tragic incident initially claimed the lives of three motorcyclists at the scene, leaving 12 others injured. The accident involved 15 motorcycles, a car, and a lorry at KM262.5 northbound of the PLUS highway around 2.30 am.
Police reports state that the motorcyclists were part of a convoy traveling from Senawang towards Kuala Lumpur, occupying the middle and right lanes of the highway at the time of the crash.
