Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed confidence that the expertise and experience of Kuala Lumpur's new Mayor, Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud, will strengthen the development of the federal capital into a competitive and liveable global city, in line with MADANI values. Anwar, who received a courtesy call from Fadlun today, said the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss key initiatives for a more progressive and competitive future for the city.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted several pivotal efforts that are set to shape Kuala Lumpur's urban landscape. These include enhancing the River of Life project, establishing a more structured path for urban development, expediting approval processes at the One Stop Centre (OSC), and improving the ecosystem for hawkers and small traders. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that these groups continue to have space, support, and fair opportunities in the metropolitan economy.

Anwar also extended his best wishes to Fadlun in carrying out his duties, underscoring the need to maintain the positive momentum established by the former Mayor, Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif. He expressed hope that Fadlun will continue to elevate Kuala Lumpur's profile to a more distinguished and respected level.
