Riyadh:Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has condemned the recent attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the deaths of 12 people and injuries to 309 others.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the casualties included four Saudi citizens, two Bangladeshi nationals, and one each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. The attack took place on Saturday, and the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation released a statement on Sunday detailing the toll.
Anwar Ibrahim expressed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wished for the swift recovery of those injured. He emphasized that attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are unjustifiable and only exacerbate the suffering caused by the conflict.
Malaysia stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia during this challenging time, Anwar added, hoping that diplomatic efforts would help prevent further escalation of the conflict.
