Beijing: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today launched a book on Malaysia authored by renowned Chinese entrepreneur, economist, and scholar Dr. Yan Lijin. The launch took place during his business meeting with Chinese investors and business leaders in the city.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Chinese language book, titled 'Malaysia, Truly Asia: A Country That Captivates the Heart,' includes a foreword by Anwar himself. In this foreword, Anwar acknowledges Dr. Yan's significant contributions to fostering relations between China and various countries around the globe, including Malaysia. Anwar commended Dr. Yan's deep understanding of Malaysia's values, culture, and development vision, which he believes reflects Dr. Yan's genuine affection for the nation.

Anwar emphasized that over the years, Dr. Yan has evolved from being merely an ally to becoming a true friend of Malaysia. The book is described as offering a captivating depiction of Malaysia as a vibrant and dynamic country, known for its rich biodiversity and cultural diversity, while balancing tradition and modernity. Anwar believes that Dr. Yan's insights will provide fresh perspectives for individuals interested in investing, studying, or exploring Malaysia.

Anwar further highlighted the book's emphasis on Malaysia's strategic role in the Belt and Road Initiative and its unique position as a hub for economic growth, cultural integration, and green industries in Southeast Asia. He expressed optimism that enhanced exchanges between Malaysia and China would allow both countries to collaborate more closely in unlocking new opportunities and addressing future challenges.
