Anwar Ibrahim Sends Letter of Congratulations to Xi Jinping on Party Anniversary

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his congratulations to the Chinese government on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of China's ruling party. In a Facebook post, Anwar announced that he had sent a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping, conveying the well-wishes of the Malaysian government and its people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister expressed his admiration for the Chinese ruling party's long-standing journey, which has significantly contributed to the country's development, rooted in its civilization, historical achievements, and enduring values. Anwar emphasized the importance of the historic decision made by Malaysia on May 31, 1974, when it became the first non-socialist country in Southeast Asia to recognize the People's Republic of China.

Anwar highlighted that the decision, marked by wisdom and foresight, has served as a firm foundation for the robust bilateral relations between Malaysia and China, which have been continually strengthened over the past five decades. He also reaffirmed Malaysia's commitment to further enhancing strategic cooperation with China, focusing on mutual respect, trust, and shared benefits to promote regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
