Putrajaya: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will announce several key initiatives in his National Day address at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) tomorrow afternoon. In a Facebook post, Anwar stated his intention to discuss issues impacting the populace, their daily lives, and the current generation's responsibility to appreciate the nation's independence.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized the significance of nearly seven decades since gaining independence, recalling the struggles and sacrifices of previous generations who paved the way with their sweat, blood, and tears. He highlighted the importance of reflecting on the current generation's duty to uphold and give meaning to the nation's independence.

In his message, Anwar also called upon Malaysians to celebrate National Day by fostering unity and rejecting any incitement that could instigate hatred among people of different races and religions. He underlined the importance of this approach to ensure that peace and the well-being of the people are maintained.
