ASEAN Cup: Harimau Malaya Sweat On Jimmy’s Fitness Ahead Of Philippines Match

Kuala lumpur: Harimau Malaya defender Jimmy Raymond remains a doubt for Malaysia's final ASEAN Cup Group B match against the Philippines after suffering an injury against Thailand on Saturday. Interim head coach Tan Cheng Hoe said the national team is awaiting a medical report before deciding whether the 30-year-old Kuching City player will be available. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Cheng Hoe expressed hope that Jimmy's injury is not serious and that he will be fit to play against the Philippines this Sunday. He mentioned that the coaching staff has enough time to prepare alternatives should Jimmy be ruled out. 'We have four to five days to prepare. If he cannot play, we will find another solution,' Cheng Hoe stated. Malaysia have already faced a setback with the loss of midfielder Endrick Dos Santos, who suffered a medial collateral ligament injury in the match against Laos last week. Despite this, Malaysia are currently second in Group B with six points from three matches after securing victories ove r Laos and Myanmar. C
