Langkawi: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan will chair the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat on 19 January 2025, in Langkawi, Kedah. This retreat marks the first meeting in the annual ASEAN calendar at the Ministerial level under Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship for the year 2025.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat will see participation from Foreign Ministers and senior officials from ASEAN Member States. The Foreign Minister of Timor-Leste is set to participate as an ASEAN Observer. Additionally, the ASEAN Secretary-General and a representative from Myanmar will also be in attendance.
