Lahad datu: A newborn baby boy was abandoned in front of a house in Kampung Burung, Jalan Bakawali here early this morning. Lahad Datu district police chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the baby was found by a passerby at 3.06 am and was sent to the hospital for further treatment.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the baby is currently in stable condition, and the investigation is ongoing to track those responsible. The case is being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code for baby dumping.
Meanwhile, Dzulbaharin Ismail also shared that the police arrested a woman, 21, at a hotel here at 10.30 pm yesterday for offering sex services through Michat with payments between RM250 to RM350. Additionally, a man, 24, was arrested along Lorong Lahad Datu Square 1 at 2.30 pm for suspected online gambling activities.
