Bank Muamalat Launches CSR Programme In Conjunction With Labour Day

Kuala Lumpur: To honour unsung heroes who continue to dedicate their efforts towards the well-being of the community, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd (Bank Muamalat) has launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, 'Kongsi Rezeki Bersama Hero Tanpa Nama'.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme is organised in conjunction with Labour Day and focuses on healthcare workers, enforcement personnel, cleaners, security guards, and others who play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of daily life.

Bank Muamalat president and chief executive officer Khairul Kamarudin stated that as a full-fledged Islamic banking institution, the bank consistently plays an active role in community development through various welfare and social initiatives based on noble values.

Khairul expressed that Bank Muamalat deeply appreciates the services and sacrifices of workers who often go unrecognised, yet play an essential role in ensuring the welfare and safety of the people. He noted that the programme is not merely about material contributions but also a symbol of solidarity and appreciation from the bank to them.

The programme is a joint initiative by Bank Muamalat staff, who contributed various essential items such as dried food, beverages, personal hygiene products, and daily necessities. Additionally, Bank Muamalat contributed more than 100 food packs, which were distributed to the programme's beneficiaries.

Khairul highlighted that the programme not only fosters a spirit of togetherness among Bank Muamalat staff but also conveys the message that every contribution, no matter how small, can bring hope and a smile to those in need.

In line with this effort, Bank Muamalat has also adopted a comprehensive approach in recognising the contributions of workers from all levels in building a sustainable and prosperous nation.
