Kuala lumpur: In conjunction with Malaysia's 68th National Day, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (Bank Muamalat) has contributed RM30,000 to support 50 families of Malaysian Armed Forces veterans, retired Royal Malaysia Police personnel, and media staff.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the bank stated that the contribution recognizes the service and sacrifice of the nation's heroes while extending support to families in the asnaf, B40, and critically ill categories. The contribution was complemented by the 'Kongsi Rezeki Bersama Wira Negara' program, where bank employees distributed essential food packs to veterans' families.
To further promote unity during the National Month, Bank Muamalat organized a National Day gathering with employees and distributed Jalur Gemilang flags to the public. Additionally, the bank launched a social media contest named 'Follow dan Menang Bangga Malaysia', offering an iPhone 16E as the grand prize.
Bank Muamalat has emphasized the importance of National Day as a platform to strengthen unity among Malaysians of all backgrounds and to foster a more harmonious society. 'National Day is not just a celebration. It is a reminder of the sacrifices of past generations and our responsibility to build a more prosperous and united Malaysia,' said Bank Muamalat president and chief executive officer Khairul Kamarudin.
Khairul also highlighted the bank's contributions to Armed Forces veterans, retired police personnel, and media representatives as a gesture of appreciation for their service. He expressed that the spirit of patriotism and solidarity shown during the celebrations will drive the bank's mission of delivering 'Better Lives, Together' (Kehidupan Lebih Baik, Bersama) to the community.
The bank extended its solidarity to the Palestinian people, urging Malaysians to continue praying for their safety, peace, and freedom.
