Kuching: A delegation from the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) led by its chief executive officer, Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, paid a courtesy call on TV Sarawak (TVS) here, today. The delegation, including BERNAMA editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj and several senior officers, was received by TVS chief media officer Mohamad Sardon Zainal, senior editor Khairunnisa Kasnoon, and acting head of marketing and communications Iszarul Japar.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nur-ul Afida expressed her gratitude to TVS and the Sarawak Media Group for their continuous support as BERNAMA customers since 2021. She also welcomed Mohamad Sardon's inclusion in the BERNAMA Board of Governors, highlighting the board's inclusivity across print, broadcast, and digital media.
Nur-ul Afida emphasized BERNAMA's readiness to enhance its strategic partnership with TVS, particularly in light of the upcoming Sarawak State Election. She noted BERNAMA's experience in providing comprehensive coverage during the Sabah state election and other previous elections as a foundation for this collaboration.
Arul Rajoo reiterated BERNAMA's commitment to supporting TVS through content sharing, editorial assistance, and collaborations between its bureau in Sarawak and the Peninsula. He also expressed confidence in TVS's potential to deliver international-class coverage leading up to the 2027 SEA Games in Sarawak.
