The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) and Qatar News Agency (QNA) held talks aimed at strengthening the ongoing cooperation between the two news agencies, today.
Bernama Chief Executive Officer Roslan Ariffin, during a meeting held with the Director General of QNA Ahmad Alromahi here, said that the visit from the media delegation from Qatar signified the friendship that had been established, besides strengthening the ongoing cooperation between the two agencies.
QNA is also interested to renew agreement to enhance cooperation between the two news agencies.
He said the media played an important role in establishing and maintaining diplomatic relations between the two countries, in addition to promoting business relations and economic cooperation.
“BERNAMA and QNA can play a role in further strengthening community-related activities, knowledge development and fostering better ties between the two countries by exchanging news and photos,” he added.
During the meeting also joined by Bernama’s other senior officials, Ahmad was accompanied by Jassim Alhamadi, Advisor to the Director General, and Khalid Almotawaa, Director of Information Technology.
UXERA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BERNAMA, has been supplying the news production system that uses the latest technologies to QNA in 2019.
