Bernama’s Contributions Recognised At IGP Appreciation Ceremony

Kuala Lumpur: Three journalists from the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) were among 26 media practitioners recognised for their contributions at the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Appreciation Ceremony with the Media, held at the Bukit Aman police headquarters, here today. IGP Tan Sri Razarudin Husain presented certificates of appreciation to Bernama's head of Crime and Security Desk, Ahmad Syabil Sultan Noordin Ahmad, crime desk reporter Noraizura Ahmad, and Bernama TV broadcast journalist Siti Zanariah Nor Zin.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Razarudin said the recognition was a tribute to the media's dedication to delivering accurate information and close cooperation with the police in addressing national security issues. "As a token of appreciation for the services rendered, I am proud to present these certificates of appreciation in the hope that they will serve as encouragement and motivation for the media to continue providing excellent service," he said after the event.

The event, held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, also served as a platform to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between the police and the media to ensure the public continues to receive accurate and up-to-date information. Meanwhile, Noraizura expressed her gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a meaningful acknowledgement of Bernama's commitment to fair and accurate reporting.
