Jasin: A total of RM935,000 has been allocated to the Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU) of the Prime Minister's Department to implement the MADANI Adopted Village (KAM) 2.0 Programme in Kampung Bukit Katong, Rim here. BHEUU deputy director-general (management) Nur Azlin Mohamad Awal stated that the implementation of the KAM 2.0 programme is a continuation of the success of its first pilot project in Pengerang, Johor last year.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, BHEUU has established strategic collaboration with the Rim State Constituency Development and Coordination Committee (Japerun) and the Jasin Municipal Council (MPJ) to identify local issues. Nur Azlin highlighted the leverage of existing expertise and experience to ensure the initiative's success. The programme's launch was attended by Rim assemblyman Datuk Khaidirah Abu Zahar and Jasin district officer Datuk Rahizi Ranom.
Nur Azlin further commented that the allocation from the Ministry of Finance is designated for seven main scopes of work to be implemented by MPJ. These include upgrading lighting with the installation of 31 solar lights from Jalan Rim to the Felda Bukit Senggeh roundabout, constructing an open hall in Jalan Rim, and building a workshop at Felda Tun Ghafar Bukit Senggeh.
The programme also focuses on upgrading the Felda Bukit Senggeh Semai Bakti Hall, the futsal court in Taman Jarim Jaya, Kampung Bukit Katong, and the road in Jalan Bunga Mawar, along with tree cutting and cleaning around the village. Nur Azlin emphasized that the KAM 2.0 programme provides BHEUU with the opportunity to identify community issues at the grassroots level and offer holistic solutions for the residents' well-being.
