Pangkor island: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) recovered an unidentified male body floating in waters off Tanjung Hantu, Pulau Pangkor, yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak MMEA director Maritime Captain Mohamad Shukri Khotob stated that the agency received a report at 10.31 am and deployed Bot Penggalang 1639 to the location, which is approximately 1.3 nautical miles southwest of Tanjung Hantu.

The body, believed to be that of an Indonesian national, was found wearing a black shirt and shorts. It was subsequently transported to Kampung Acheh Fisheries Jetty and handed over to police authorities for identification, post-mortem examination, and further investigation.

Maritime Captain Mohamad Shukri Khotob has urged the maritime community and the public to report any information regarding emergencies, accidents, or suspicious activities at sea.
