Bowling Centre Employee Found Dead in Tanjong Malim Storage Room

Tanjong malim: An employee at a bowling centre in Tanjong Malim was discovered dead in a storage room on the premises after having complained to his wife about a headache earlier. The incident occurred early this morning, raising concerns among colleagues and management.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Sports Bowl manager Dzulkarnain Sapian reported that the employee was found around 1 am. The discovery was made after the man's wife came to the bowling centre, worried about her husband who had not returned home after his shift. Dzulkarnain, along with the victim's wife and another staff member, had difficulty accessing the storage room as the victim's body was blocking the door.

Dzulkarnain identified the deceased as Mohd Radzi Ariffin, 53, who worked as a cleaner for UPSI Sports Bowl, a private company operating within the UPSI campus. The manager noted that the victim had mentioned to his wife the previous evening that he was experiencing a headache.

The funeral prayers for Mohd Radzi are planned to take place at the Al-Mursyidin Mosque UPSI Mosque following the completion of a post-mortem by authorities at Slim Hospital. Afterward, the burial will be conducted at the Taman Bernam Cemetery.

Meanwhile, UPSI vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Md Amin Md Taff shared on Facebook that it is suspected Mohd Radzi may have suffered a heart attack. He assured that an official statement would be released by the company and that UPSI would provide necessary assistance to the bereaved family.

Earlier in the morning, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (Operations), stated that they received a call about the incident at 1.57 am. A team was dispatched to the scene within ten minutes, and the operation concluded at 2.36 am. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the case.
