Kuala lumpur: A seven-year-old boy who was involved in a crash that killed two teenage girls along Jalan Padang Tembak, Teluk Intan yesterday is in stable condition after undergoing surgery at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hilir Perak district police chief ACP Chua Kok Lian reported that the boy was at the shoulder of the road when a 28-year-old male driver lost control of his vehicle. The car skidded and crashed into a premises owned by the boy's father.

The incident took place while the boy was with his father and under parental supervision in front of the father's premises. Following the crash, the boy lost consciousness and was immediately taken to Teluk Intan Hospital for further treatment.

The driver, in an attempt to overtake another vehicle, collided with a motorcycle and an additional car at the crash site. Tragically, two girls, aged 16 and 17, who were on the motorcycle, were killed at the scene. The driver was later found to have tested positive for benzodiazepine.
