BALIK PULAU, The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) has made a request to the Ministry of Finance (MOF) for an additional allocation to be considered in Budget 2025, which will be tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Oct 18.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar did not disclose the amount of the additional allocation and said that it is primarily aimed at safeguarding the welfare of the teachers in the Quran and Fardu Ain (KAFA) classes programme nationwide.

“The Prime Minister, who is also the Minister of Finance, is very concerned about the sacrifices made by KAFA teachers. At the same time, other ministries and agencies are also submitting their own budget proposals.

Mohd Na’im also said that the government remains committ
