Budget 2026: MOE To Focus On Anti-Bullying Framework, Digital Education, and TVET

Kuala lumpur: Creating an anti-bullying framework in educational institutions, driving digital education, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) are among the main focuses of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Budget 2026. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek emphasized these priorities, highlighting efforts to empower preschools and enhance the potential of students with special educational needs as integral components of the ministry's agenda.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, these initiatives are the result of dialogue and consultation sessions carried out with various stakeholders in the education sector. Fadhlina Sidek noted that the budget is crucial for the implementation of key agendas such as the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2026-2035 and the New School Curriculum 2027. She shared details in a Facebook post, underscoring the importance of these educational reforms.

Fadhlina also mentioned her recent discussion with Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, which she described as an opportunity to thoroughly discuss budget initiatives within the scope of education. She acknowledged the collaborative efforts in shaping Budget 2026, which is part of the MADANI Budget series focusing on restoring fiscal resilience, strengthening economic fundamentals, and improving living standards.

Acknowledging the support from Senator Finance Minister II and his team, Fadhlina expressed anticipation for the upcoming budget. According to the Parliamentary calendar, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who also serves as the Minister of Finance, is scheduled to table the Supply (Budget) Bill 2026 at 4 pm in Dewan Rakyat on October 10.
