Budget 2026 To Open New Chapter On Boosting Nation’s Economy – Ahmad Zahid

Kuala lumpur: The 2026 Budget, set to be presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is anticipated to mark a significant step in fortifying the nation's economy and enhancing the well-being of its citizens.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, highlighted the impact of the previous year's budget. The RM11.96 billion allocated to his ministry through the 2025 Budget was fully utilized to advance the Desa MADANI agenda. Dr Ahmad Zahid expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the MADANI Government for their unwavering support towards the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) through Budget 2025.

He emphasized that the allocation was effectively transformed into initiatives that have developed rural communities, strengthened the economy, and improved infrastructure in rural areas. In a Facebook post, Dr Ahmad Zahid reiterated KKDW's commitment to executing government policies and programs that directly benefit citizens nationwide.

Dr Ahmad Zahid also extended an invitation to all citizens to participate in the tabling of Budget 2026, expressing hope for continued prosperity for Malaysians. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will present Budget 2026 at the Dewan Rakyat later today. It marks the fourth budget under the MADANI Government and the first under the 13th Malaysia Plan, serving as a crucial component for the national development plan over the next five years.
