BUDI95 Subsidy Rollout In Pahang Runs Smoothly

Pahang: The implementation of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) initiative at 275 petrol stations of various brands across Pahang has been running smoothly as of 1.30 pm today. Pahang Consumer Affairs and Human Resources Committee chairman Sim Chon Siang said most users encountered were satisfied with the government's positive step.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, there were only minor complaints involving the use of identity cards for purchases, but this can be resolved once users become accustomed to the method. Sim Chon Siang emphasized that the use of the identity card should not be seen as a problem but rather as a privilege for Malaysian citizens. He shared these insights with reporters after visiting eight petrol stations around the city.

To ensure users can fully benefit from the initiative, Sim stated that petrol station operators must ensure their staff are always ready at the refuelling areas to assist customers. This readiness is crucial for the initiative's success and to provide a seamless experience for consumers.

Meanwhile, private sector worker Chan Boon Ho, 39, expressed satisfaction with the initiative, noting that he chose to make purchases via e-wallet. This method eliminates the need to present an identity card, allowing transactions to be carried out quickly and efficiently.

BUDI95 was introduced in stages, beginning on September 27, with 300,000 personnel of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysia Police being the first to benefit. It was then extended to more than five million recipients of the Rahmah Cash Contribution (STR) in the B40 category on September 28. Today, a total of 16 million eligible Malaysians are enjoying the benefits of the BUDI95 initiative.
